We are going to offer game result updates for those that are interested using Twitter (a social networking and microblogging service that posts messages (tweets) of up to 140 charcters). Don't be afraid of something new :).  The Tweets will also be posted/fed to this Squirt section in the web site.

I will update Twittter which will then send out a text to everyone set up to follow the @rangerhockey  "Tweets".  This will help eliminate calling your neighbors and friends to see how the game went.  

If you are a regular Twitter user, you may not want to set up your profile to receive a text every time a tweet comes from @rangerhockey. You can check it out, as you are scanning all of the other Tweeps that you follow.

If the only reason you created a profile and subscribed to this crazy Social Media tool called Twitter, is to get Brookings Rangers score updates, you may want to follow the instructions below to receive @rangerhockey game results via text:

UPDATED---- easiest way that you can do while sitting in the stands:

1. text 40404, type: Signup

2. you will get message back and reply with a username you just make up on the spot

3.  you will get a reply you are now signed up

4. reply: Follow rangerhockey

Done - wait for next Tweet

If you want to do on the computer (not needed to get simple text on phone):

1. sign up for free account at http://twitter.com/
2. Click on "Find People" on the top of the page
3. Search for rangerhockey
4. Click to follow
5. Click on following on right side and rangerhockey should appear
6. Click on little green phone to have text sent to your phone
7. Click on settings upper right and click on Mobile at top and turn ON device updates

Then From Phone
8.. From phone text 40404, and then in subject line type START and send 
9.  If you already have an account use your current password etc... if no account already, then just make up a username and hit send...Twitter will then send you a bunch of texts you need to reply to
10. after all the above texts back from Twitter, Text 40404, ON
11. Text 40404, Follow rangerhockey
